Spooky Train Rides & The Pumpkin Patch Express – Portola, CA

Another fascinating adventure awaits at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola – Saturdays and Sundays, October 17, 18, 24 & 25, 2026

All aboard for the train to a local pumpkin patch; talk about a delight! Off to Eastern Plumas County for a drive filled with beautiful scenery, and excellent stops along the way. Head into Portola for the Western Pacific Railroad Museum. Their Pumpkin Patch Express and Spooky Train Rides will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays, October 17, 18, 24 & 25, 2026.

The museum will open at 10 AM  on all four days. Trains will depart hourly from 1 PM to 5 PM for the Pumpkin Patch.

On Saturday nights, their Super Spooky Night Trains will depart hourly between 7 PM and 9 PM. Gates close at 6 PM on Sunday and 8:30 PM on Saturday.

Admission is free for FRRS members. Non-member admission is just $20 per carload, or $15 with the donation of 4 non-perishable canned goods for EPCAN – Portola’s Food Bank.
