1 lb. Lean Ground Beef 1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 Egg
1 Tbsp minced onions (I use dried)
1/2 cup Bread or Cracker Crumbs 1/4 Cup Milk
Combine ingredients and make 1 inch Beef Balls
(I use 1 in. cookie scoop for schools.)
Brown lightly in skillet OR cook in 350° oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
When done put in sauce and simmer a few minutes until sauce is absorbed in meat.
(I mix and freeze, raw or cooked: Sepa- rate and freeze on cookie sheet then put in baggies to store when doing several pounds. Thaw (cook if raw) and put in sauce.)
Serve on rice, potatoes or bread. 1 lb meat makes approx 40 – 1 inch beef balls.
SAUCE:
Combine ingredients and simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup Catsup
1 Cup Water
